Continuity, guaranteed

The teach-out process, in full compliance

A teach-out is our commitment that no enrolled student is ever disadvantaged. If a programme, centre or partnership is discontinued, an agreed plan ensures every current student can complete their qualification.

What is a teach-out? An orderly, pre-agreed plan — established at MOU stage — that guarantees currently enrolled students can complete their studies to the same standard, either at the affiliate campus, at another approved centre, or through direct RSBT delivery, with no additional cost for equivalent completion.

Phase 01

Notice & Freeze

Formal notice is issued, a defined transition period begins, and no new enrolments are taken onto the affected programme.

Phase 02

Continuation or Transfer

The current cohort continues to completion, or is transferred to another approved centre or to RSBT direct delivery — the student's choice is protected.

Phase 03

Closure & Audit

Records, transcripts and certification are secured; a final compliance audit and closure report complete the process.

Compliance safeguards built into every teach-out

Awarding-body notification & approval The relevant awarding body is formally notified and the teach-out plan approved before it proceeds, meeting all regulatory requirements.
Standards & quality maintained Teaching, assessment and moderation continue to the same quality standard throughout the transition — no drop in academic rigour.
Credit accumulation protected Units already completed are certified and carried forward, so no student loses progress they have already earned.
Fee protection Students face no additional cost to complete an equivalent qualification; fee-protection terms are set in the MOU.
Records & data continuity Student records, transcripts and assessment evidence are securely retained and transferred in line with data-protection obligations.
Transparent student communication Students are kept fully informed of their options and rights at every stage, with dedicated support throughout.
